In this review, we're in Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid and showing you their Junior Suite.

While the hotel is older, built in 1996 and lastly renovated in 2008, it is aged but still quite decent for its rather reasonable prices. As Accor ALL Platinum members, we received an upgrade from a Superior room to this spacious Junior Suite.

The hotel is located right in the city centre, with malls, a railway station and the Wall - a cool area with restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance.

While the restaurant decor looked aged, breakfast was quite decent. There is also a gym and a swimming pool.

I highly recommend the Pullman and I have been enjoying this hotel since 2003 back when it was called Hotel Sofitel. I have stayed there in ‘03, ‘05, ‘14, ‘17, and ‘23. The lobby is truly magnificent and I recommend enjoying the delicious beer during Happy Hour which is microbrewed in the basement. The room’s definitely have a 1990’s decor and are somewhat dated. That being said, the rooms are awesome as they are extremely spacious and offer a separate glass door shower and separate bathtub. I recommend staying in a front facing room as the rooms in the rear of the hotel were subjected to loud late night music from a nightclub located about a block away (at least back in 2017). My family and I love the breakfast buffet and I recommend it. However, it only has 1/3 of its pre-pandemic offerings. The pandemic economic climate truly took a toll on the variety of offerings. Yet, my family and I really enjoyed eating breakfast there during the week that we stayed late December 2022/early January 2023. The Pullman Hotel has a really good fitness room with adequate weightlifting machines. However, the swimming pool, never great even 20 years ago, is in desperate need of maintenance and is perhaps this hotels number one week point. Also, the carpeting in the lobby needs to be replaced ASAP. The decorative water fountains in front of the hotel on the outside need a deep cleaning. My family and I absolutely adore this hotel as it’s extremely comfortable. Both my eight year old son and three year old daughter have been asking to go back to the Pullman Khon, Kaen. As a matter of fact, during the summer of 2023, we will be going back! Great value for a hotel of this caliber. I almost forgot to mention, the Pullman used to have and I think still does (awesome live music in the basement at night!). Since I have young kids, I haven’t been able to enjoy it like I did during earlier trips.
