DIY mini bio pellet reactor

Slapped together this DIY bio pellet reactor for my friends 29g reef. Seems to be working pretty well =)

It's an old adjustable 100gph max pump from a duetto filter my mantis shrimp destroyed, something like a maxi jet 400 would be about the same. The water exits through some small holes near the top of the bottle.

I had never heard of those before, haha. Had to look them up, I guess it's kinda the same idea.

I've been running the pellets in my phosban reactor for about a month now with no skimmer, haven't had any ill effects, but when I get my skimmer going again the water goes strait into it. This one will be positioned to shoot into his skimmer too when I get it in my friends tank. =)

hahaha i made one just like it but i have some of the water siphoning out straight into my protein skimmer. it works great tho, good job bro. check out my video if you want=)
