I have a problem when I create a 3D curve from a section, then recall those points into a feature like a 3D line or circle. The feature that I create from the 3D curve is almost never in the correct spot even though I am using the lasso tool to select the specific points that should be used to create it. This happens even for something simple like a line. Is that normal?

I want to simulate a scenario where the measured alignment plane is moved with an offset only in a linear direction along a single axis. 
To achieve this, I used the “Special Functions Setting” section in the base alignment settings, but the changes were not reflected in the results.   
I also attempted to use the theoretical plane, but it did not work either.    The purpose of this simulation is to evaluate how the results change when the reference is modified through machining.  Could you please
advise me on how to accomplish this?
