LET IT GO BY JAMES BAY: Cover by Jacques Gaines

I have been filming a series called IN A CHURCH which showcases artistic performances in abandoned and unused churches in my city. After a long day of filming three artistic performances, I decided to steal away a little time for myself. Although it was a big day, and I had recorded and moved many microphones and cameras I thought the natural reverb in the Saint-Charles-de-Limoilou church to good to pass up. I had just learned James Bay's "Let it go" so I said to myself. Why not. James Bay, to me, goes to my basic love and enjoyment of folk music. He is all about the song. To me there is nothing more admirable than making a song that holds its own without arrangement, computers or a team behind it.
