Thanks! You saved me a trip to the shop. I shut off the air system (cooling/defrost) with the air system power button, and the autostart activated when I brought the truck to a stop.

Very helpful. I install truck shells on trucks and sometimes when we wire a shell to break lights, it disables the auto start and stop

On our 3 year old Buick, it doesn't work anymore. Battery has been changed once. Covered under warranty. Nothing comes up on the dash. Not a problem for us. We really didn't like it anyway. How much more MPGs can you even get out of a 3 cylinder engine anyway?

I am actually someone who likes this feature. I have been wondering why it does not work anymore. Today, my mechanic told me that my battery voltage is very low and it will not charge any higher. This may be the reason why. I appreciate this list that you have shared. Thanks for the info!

Yeah why have it then because it's a pickup truck we do a lot of this stuff okay we're not driving them in the city for that to work all right it's a pickup truck that feature needs to go and cylinders to not give port injection to make sure there's no gas going in there that start stop needs to just be obsolete

The only problem with the feature is there's no way to disable it

I don't see how it's saving fuel when it takes more fuel to start a motor than to keep it running. Also, emissions aren't measured at startup, so guess what, it doesn't help the environment either. The company Ford F150 gets 12mpg with this system. That's the same as my personal Mega Cab with a Hemi.

Okay just figured it out. Had my driver's seat reupolstered and that guy broke the clip when he plugged it back in. Which caused a restraint light to come on the dash. This also caused my Auto Start Stop to stop working. After a zip tie held the restraint module together, that fixed everything. 😂😂
