Hi Mike. Followed your sound advice about bars 25 to 33 - one bar at a time, then 2 bars together, then 4 together, then 8, then 8 plus fill. That took about 5 hours. Then played the whole 9 to a metronome, starting at 100 bpm. kept at it until right. Then went up to 104 bpm; kept at it till correct, then 108 bpm, etc. Finally reached 126 bpm correctly, the speed prescribed in the notation.
At last played it with the music and ... presto.
I have no talent, but at age 74, and after a 50+ year break from drumming, have learned PERSISTENCE.
I really appreciate your lessons and demos.

Mike, many thanks for this lesson, very clear breakdown, very good way to learn any song, this song is very hard to learn by ear especially the solo section and some of the drum fills is very time taking to learn by ear ...we don't know which tom is getting played for eg ...thanks for the clear explanation
