The first time I saw this was in one of my customers houses. She was a regular that we cleaned for. When she was younger, she would burn candles all the time and occasionally leave the house while they were still lit. So her son got her a self extinguished candel and the story she told me was touching

If I remember correctly. The design of that is based off of a candle that dads would use to say how long a date could go on for. A scenario of this would be.



Dad: "You want to date my daughter? Fine. You have until this candle runs our of wax to finish the date."
Boy: "Okay!"

Roughly 48 hours later

Dad: "Alright the candle's done."

The boyfriend and girlfriend are probably either very tired of eachother or very sweaty.

Bet that candle wax would dry out and then crack and fall apart when you pull it out if you don't use it quick enough, seems like too much candle to me.
