In this video we are doing a maiden flight with the new OpenIPC RunCam WifiLink 2 VRX.
It was developed by RunCam and it can run OpenIPC.
In the second part we are doing a short penetration test behind trees and bushes to see if there are sny breakups.
We finally have an open source, plug and play, digital FPV system! We don’t need to do any installation or any setup!

If you want please join my channel to get access to exclusive posts and updates on the upcoming OpenIPC products:

OpenIPC FPV is the cheapest digital FPV system in the world!
Thanks to the WFB-ng link it has some serious long range capabilities.

You will find everything you need to start your own project!🎉

The system supports MAVLINK bidirectional telemetry which makes it a complete solution for a quadcopter or fixed wing/VTOL. It also has WFB-ng link preinstalled and this means it has serious long range capabilities.(up to 100+km!)

More OpenIPC cameras will be in following videos so make sure you subscribe to not miss them!❤️

Glad to see many manufacturers welcoming OpenIPC. A great future has just begun.

Hi Mario, The range is much less than that of DIY and the VTX Emax ?

Would love to see a freestyle or racing video, lighter the better! very interested in this. I think it will be my first vrx (besides analog module) for my hdzero goggles!

Hi Mario, thank you for your work, what's going on is, I believe, a crucial step for the openIPC development progression. I am currently thinking about creating a custom goggle box with a camera monitor to get minimum glass to glass latency possible, what do you think would be the best option ? I researched a bit about these and the latency can be very low, but I don't have any solid source yet, will probably update when I find something good
Cheers 🍻

So I'm new to fpv and trying to learn. I've seen the EMAX and Run Cam air units and now VRXs. I just would like to run some other cameras other than the ones that come with the units. It's this possible to bring your own camera or not so much? Such as convert and analog fpv camera to either of these systems? Please pardon my ignorance

Thanks for posting and all your work on this project. I have old FatShark Dominator V3 goggles. They have an HDMI port so I guess this new system will work with these old goggles?

Do you use the stock lens? It's so much clearer than any of mine

The video quality seems good. Not perfect, but good enough. The colors could be a bit more "colorfull". But the small breakups are quite annoying. Did you use 25mW or more?

Man. I really wish the would put up a preorder or something.

Hi, what is the best budget(balanced quality/price) googles selection for OpenIPC (with HDMI in) ?

Hello, my team and I are preparing for a competition that involves live image tracking and object recognition via quacopter. Previously, we were processing the image on the plane using Jetson Orin Nano PC and transferring the image to the ground station using Ubiquiti Rocket AC5-Lite, but we were experiencing too much latency and disconnection problems. This year, I want to transfer the image to the ground station with low latency, process it on my laptop and direct it from the ground station, but it is very difficult to open the image directly on the laptop without using Googles with analog FPV image transmitters, and digital systems are very expensive, like Walksnail. What do you think I should do?

Can I process the live image I get from my drone using this device on my laptop? Do I have to install OpenIPC Groundstation? If I can just open the image on my main screen, that's enough for me.

what about the aspect ratio in the video? why did you connect one patch antenna LHCP and the other RHCP? where do the short color flickers come from?

Amazing. Do you know if they are planning on selling in a bundle of vtx and vrx?

Nice video Mario. Can I ask exactly what camera lens you’re using ? None of the other runcam wifi link footages look this good.
