In the 1970s, a British sound technician is brought to Italy to work on the sound effects for a gruesome horror film. It's very easy to say that " your jaw dropped when I saw a film", but I'm deadly serious when I say this movie not only disturbed me to no end, my jaw literally dropped for at the last 5 mins of the film and well after it had ended out of sheer disbelief! An amazing movie, leaves you with a very unusual feeling . the duke of burgundy ( the directors other film) was very similar .

One of the best soundtracks, Broadcast has done great work, both unique and Giallo-Esque vibes together. "The Equestrian Vortex" is the song in 1:40 which is at the climax!!!

I've just watched this film. It's now by far my favorite horror film... it's so unique... And this trailer is in itself a piece of art.

trailer was so promising.
i liked the way the movie was shot, the soundtrack and the acting.

unfortunately, i didn't expect an extraordinarily slow-paced film that doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
but hey, there are people out there who like this stuff, so if you're one of them - go ahead, you'll love this.

I have no idea if that guy who is being the glorified sound guy did any of the old brightly colored Hammer Films, but my GOD, those things scared me to death when I was young, alone, watching them flicker on the TV on a late Saturday Night.

Awesome movie, what an atmosphere, strongly catches you...Saw this movie two times in the local arthouse cinemas... Think this movie only "works" in cinemas, on TV it could be disappointing.
