Показать описание
Are you confused about which app-building tool to use? In this first episode of our 10-part series, we'll compare Model-driven and Canvas apps by building the same app using both tools.

Watch as we quickly demo the two complete apps and show you our requirements picture. We'll explain our approach, which includes a lot of videos and a regular release cadence. We'll also be using Dataverse for the data source and packaging both apps in a solution that can be easily deployed from one environment to another. Plus, Training site subscribers can download the finished solution and watch the entire series right now!

We'll keep things simple to start the conversation, but don't worry, we'll cover everything you need to know. And if you want to learn even more, consider taking our training classes.

Finally, we're excited to announce that we'll be hosting a live Ask Me Anything session after the series is over. Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notified when it's happening.

Join us for this informative and engaging series as we explore the differences between Model-driven and Canvas apps. Don't miss out!

Thanks so much for this series, Shane! I've gone through the lot and the Q&A with Juan and it was very informative and great to follow along to. Great work!

I just did a session on the differences for our internal Makers group to understand. I am going to post this to our community, it will be such a useful resource. Thanks Shane!

Hi Shane, your videos are great!
If its possible Please make a video on who to filter the gallery with multiple buttons.

I'm just starting to watch this series, but I will say for me the #1 reason I don't use Dataverse is because of the cost. Looking forward to if you change my mind.

It is really unfortunate that as a beginner with a trial account you cant test many of these functions out. I cannot create a new Database with Sharepoint and Dataverse. Both of these functions are more or less locked for private learning users.

Hi Shane, Big Fan!

My PowerApps Query: How to create Cascading Dropdown to filter a Gallery for more than 2 Choice-Type columns? My database is SharePoint.

I found a way suggested in the Microsoft forum but that works only for up to 2-Dropdowns and I have 4-Dropdowns.

Thank you in Advance!

Looking forward to the series but I hate model-driven, it's just so yucky regardless of any of its benefits over canvas.

Shane - until MS drops the cost of premium licenses, managements aren't going to go with it. That's because Power Apps are considered end user tools and they don't want to spend money on them.
