As a Trinidadian, we here in the Caribbean are accustomed to seeing airplanes fly very low as the islands are very small but jumping to touch it is just ridiculous.

One thing everyone must know about Assateague Island: MOSQUITOES! Oh my gosh it's all swampy marshland and the mosquitoes are BRUTAL. I've seen people leaving the island in tears because they got obliterated by relentless mosquitoes. But there's a lovely lighthouse there and a gift shop, and I swear the sunsets there are always gorgeous - but there are sand flies that will chew your feet and ankles into meatloaf. Take a good strong bug repellant, is what I'm saying. It's worth the trip, just protect yourself from head to toe - skin and clothing, hats, shoes, everything!

The Salton Sea was formed when a irrigation ditch broke and let huge amount of Colorado river water flood the low lying land. Real-estate sales built the area into a sportsmans paradise with fish introduced and boating. But as no more water was added the sun began to evaporate the water the remaining water grew salter and salter. The fish died off. The smell of rotting fish and later the sand storms chased most of the population away.

Playa Del Amor was amazing. I remember snorkelling in from the boat and seeing a puffer fish and then seeing the beautiful beach. It was unforgettable!

I went to Playa del Amor when I was about 12. The small boat ride out there was just as fun. Also LA Rotunda del Mar was interesting

This is why we need all politicians to stop misbehaving and help all these displaced residents. Help them like they have been helping homeless drug attics and protecting ladies and transgenders of the evenings. Help these hardworking people who are not on Welfare but are citizens. Put grievances and bad politics on pause and help all people in these terrible conditions. Put the nonprofits to the test to financially help families within their own cities, serving their neighbors, not strangers. City to city, and state to state, private sector’s and all levels of governments. Villagers know how to take care of their families, friends and neighbors, without costs. 🙏

Cape tribulation has a beach the indigenous people hold sacred. It has black smooth stones that bounce off each other beyond any skipping stone you can imagine.
Mission beach has cassowary birds that roam the sand.

I'm not convinced Las Playitas exists. Google can't find anything that looks like this. But then This doesn't look like the verbal, "Pristine white sands" that are mentioned at the 8:20 point when we see a dark gray beach.

Las Playitas is in the Canary Islands nowhere near Mexico. There is a Las Playitas in Sonora, Mexico, but none of the pictures are from there and it isn't a lagoon.

Assateague is also home to the tiny two and a half foot high sika deer (that are members of the elk family). You may want to check out the story of Misty of Chincoteague for which the islands have become famous. While in Assateague once, I saw a very stupid man try to put his kid on the back of one of the ponies. That pony immediatey dealt him two swift kicks to his legs and stomach, but the kid was ok. These are wild ponies and while they may seem tame they are not. Dead Horse Bay is just gross in every way and ought to be cleaned up.
