I am working in my mansion, tearing out the master staircase, evaluating house damages, admiring century old construction, and making an organized job site. I am using a few simple hand tools, strong arms, great friends, and a positive, happy, attitude. Learning about new tools, making mistakes, laughing, having fun, making a dream come to life, and more.

Ya hate to see all that woodwork torn out.
I have a feeling that Cole wont be replacing it with something equal to what was torn out.

That is Amazing the craftsmanship of the bend in the stairs.

Cole look inside the newel posts on the stairs. They use to hide the original blue prints in them back in the day.

Blows my brain seeing you gut all that beautiful craftsmanship. That circular bottom step you cut off was a very nice accent piece you just destroyed.

I love watching this rebuild. Please call it what it is. It is not a restoration. It was beyond a restoration. Sadly. My heart broke for everything torn out but I knew there was no choice. Can't wait to see the finished product. Love watching the banter between you guys. Hugs.

More power to you! It's your house...just heart breaking to see the original character and features are going away. I've restored stairs many times...not hard job.

Not my house not my money, but it seems like your taking all the charm and warmth out of the house. It's just a shell.

You will never be able to get a staircase of such build quality and beauty in new. That was probably one of the main pieces that made your house one of the most beautiful in the west.

Truthfully I almost cried when that beautiful oak went to the dump! I hope someone rescued some of it for other purposes!

Oh that beautiful staircase! I hope it can be put back together again! Solid oak! All of that workmanship! The whole house was full of it. I know it’s not my house.
