The suitcases i bought were like $5 at yard sale rigid old like trunk style ones.

I bought some really old suitcases I'm thinking of using them as casting flasks. Size size good for medium project not small or large.

This is great. Thank you! I made my first flask by welding pieces of angle iron together. It's been working fine, but it's a small, heavy thing, and I'm looking to make a larger wooden one next week. I've been binging your videos for the last couple of weeks now and learning a ton. I'd love to pick your brain on a few things, if you've got the time. I don't understand why most people interested in metal casting, use wood to make the flask as that is definitely not a rigid heat resistant material. Most flasks sold online are made of cast iron. They are much smaller, heavier, and more expensive; but if you know basic metal work, without a welder you could still assemble a rigid steel flask with 1/4" or maybe even 3/16" steel plate, and angle iron.

Make this short . Need your opinion. 1909 Johnson fare box with a light housing . That’s what i need to try to make . I have only 1 very rare . What is my best option to go about this . Please google that. Or I can send you a picture . Just tell me how to .
