Yea Bauer has 12 k’s but no one giving Fried any love. He was more efficient in pitch count as well.

Reds. Amazing pitching, good solo hitting, no team hitting.

Notes from the Game:
+ Max Fried was BRILLIANT AGAIN! 7 Innings of No-Run, 6-Hit Ball, Walking Nobody and Striking out 5 Reds in an Impressive, but unfortunate No-Decision. He made a Strong Case for the Cy Young YET AGAIN DESPITE not getting the desired result!
+ The Bullpen may have made us hold our breath for a few innings, but they CAME THROUGH WHEN IT MATTERED. 7 Pitchers Combined to Finish the Final 6 Innings of Work, Allowing No-Runs on 5 Hits, Walking 3 and Striking Out 11! Just an Amazing Result altogether!
+ BRAVES ROTATION TOTAL: 13 Innings, 11 Hits, 0 Runs, 3 Walks, 16 Strikeouts.

+ Trevor Bauer, if you're seeing this, YOU HAVE MY RESPECT! 7 2/3 Scoreless Innings, allowing just 2 Hits, No Walks, and Striking out a DOZEN Braves in a Heartbreaking No Decision. Even I was surprised to see them pull Bauer INSTEAD of letting him FINISH the 8th Inning.
+ The Red's Pen? It took until the 13th to finally break through, but otherwise, they surprised me. 5 Pitchers Combined to Finish the Final 5 2/3 Innings, Allowing just 4 Hits while Striking out an Additional 9 Braves. Perhaps this is a closer fight than I
+ REDS ROTATION TOTAL: 12 1/3 Innings, 6 Hits, 1 Run, 2 Walks, 21 Strikeouts.

+ The ONLY Offensive Highlight came from M-V-FREE! Freddie Freeman closed the curtain on this one with an RBI Single into striaght-away Center. It was his ONLY hit of the Game, as he Finished 1-4.
+ I know No One's Going to Mention it, But how about Cristian Pache's FIRST MLB Run Scored on the Game-Winning RBI by Freddie? Talk about a Moment at Home Plate he's NOT going to Forget!
+ Other Notables: Ronald Acuna Jr., Travis d'Arnaud, Ozzie Albies, Nick Markakis, and Austin Riley each recorded 1 Hit. Freddie Freeman and Adam Duvall got on base via Walk.

+ WHAT. A. GAME. I said this game would decide who wins the Cy Young.... Instead, I STILL remain UNDECIDED on who should win the Cy Young. Both Pitchers SHOT THE LIGHTS OUT of this Game, and Both Bullpens Fought with Urgency and Efficiency. But in the end, The Braves Strike First Blood in this 3-Game Series. Can the Reds Answer?

Tomorrow:
While one clubhouse celebrates a victory, another senses the urgency. The Reds and Braves will Square Off in Game 2 of this NL Wild Card Series under the afternoon skies of Truist Park. The Reds turn to Luis Castillo to buy them A Single Shot at a Comeback. Castillo had a Solid September, Finishing 4-1 with an ERA of 2.20 while recording 37 Ks to 9 Walks. Meanwhile, Ian Anderson will get his chance to prove he can be a critical arm in Postseason time, and send the Braves Forward into the NLDS. Anderson looks to Finish September Strong, as he has stumbled in his last 2 Outings, Giving up 3 Runs in each outing and only going about 5 Innings. Can Ian Anderson Drive the Braves Ahead into the NLDS? Or can Luis Castillo Reel in the Bravos and Force a Decisive Game 3? We will find out at 12:08 PM EDT on ESPN (Worldwide)!

I was watching since the bottom of the second. What a game! I’m a huge braves fan, to see them get out of 3 innings in a row where reds should’ve scored almost broke me inside.

The Reds going into this game were batting something like .214 on the season. It's a small miracle the Braves didn't give this one away. Bauer is a bonafide stud. Loved his sarcastic chop on the way off the mound. All that being said, the Braves bats need to wake up going in to game 2. We cannot hope to win a postseason series with our ace having 0 run support. Thank goodness for Freddie being Freddie. See y'all tomorrow. Chop On!!!

My dad let me stay home and watch this game. He worked from home, we ordered pizza and sat there for hours watching. One of my more cherished memories as a braves fan. Wish we would have won the whole thing but we are still young and have time. CHOP ON

Reds forgot that they have to score a run to win the game. What a performance by Bauer though.
