That is NOT a refractor. That is a base card. Worth like $15 in the current condition. Don’t waste the money grading it

Thankfully my mother doesn’t throw anything away, about a year ago in her attic we would my card collection from the late 80s early 90s all still in hard cases and neatly put away .. I haven’t really looked into value yet but I know there’s a 2nd year Jordan card and a few Griffey jr rookies along with thousands more

The one that was going for 4k was a refractor and it looks like yours is a base

It’s a minor sized tear in a card that’s fairly circulated. I would say it receives a 5 at best.

Ok, so I have been collecting and studying the hobby for a long time. So basically the ones that are going for 4-5k are because there called refractor which is basically just a more rare version of the card you have. Technically yes they are the same card but people pay more for something shinny. The tear is gonna bring down the grade to about a 5 or 6 at best. Your version of the card is about 10 dollars raw and in a psa 6 it’s would stay about the same price maybe a couple extra bucks graded. Still nice card

Whats sad is #1 what we put "value" on and #2, I used to collect cards just to collect and had SSSOOOO many rare and or valuable cards as i grew up in the 80's/90's and kept them in a card binder thing but eventually just threw it away . So many cards worth money now days . Im 44 and could probably be retired just from the value of the sure amount of pricey cards i used to have 😢 .
