Sometimes it's hard to deal with how such a concentrated time, say 8 years at most, 1986 to 1993 roughly, could be so damn, utterly cool + genius like in music. It was incredible, all of those minds just tuning in at the same time. Not preparing stuff to come out in years. So many people sent out so much timeless, top classic, genius stuff. It's mind boggling.

I was so aware of this at the time. I used to think it often, and I couldn't deal with it at times. The time was so great in music.

I remember this mix very well, now I hear it again. I thought it must be one of the very coolest cuts being played in clubs. (But then, I thought that about nearly every track, of most kinds - just that this was a cool type of cool, rather than hotter cool.)

Again, Frankie Knuckles makes one of the greatest cuts ever. He made many of those. It's very good that there are loads of other greatest cuts ever also, with and without Frankie Knuckles.
