Deep Dive 03/10/2023 – How hot was September - Met Office Weather Forecast

This is an in-depth Met Office UK Weather forecast for the next week and beyond, dated 03/10/2023.

After the joint warmest September on record we are in line for more warmth in early October but some parts will get a soaking first.

Love these deep dives. Please keep them coming. I'm not a fan of these close ups though where the camera rather than the screen its self zooming in. It makes my eyes ache as I re focus.

@Met Office - UK Weather Great Video Alex. I am also not keen on that zoom in feature it's not really needed. I found it very dizzying and disorientating. The default setting is fine. I also found myself looking away when it zoomed in, missing valuable information.

I'm a regular viewer of the deep dive and the 10 day trend, excellent content. Could you possibly include Ireland too? Also, sack the cameraman, not a fan of the zooming in, prefer the wider views

My father was a radio officer for the British Oceanic Weather Service now known as the Meteorological Office on board one of the weather ships that operated out of Greenock, Scotland.

During my father's time during his service, not only was it sending and receiving weather reports but also what the Soviet spy trawlers were upto. All personnel on the weather ships had to undergo sub machine handling and throwing grenades off the stern of the ship.

The vessel that my father was on was called the Weather Monitor and all weather ships were WWII Corvettes.

Another excellent Deepdive, Thanks Alex - Just to mention, that I came within a gnats whisker of putting the Central Heating on the other day- It was just 17 deg in the living room! Brrr. (North east wales) so I'm looking forward to getting the Deck Chair out again on Saturday and Sunday! ( yeah right..🙄🤣)
