La historia de los Beatles con Mia Farrow, de quien se ha dicho, el Maharishi había abusado, no termina ahí. Su hermana, Prudence Farrow, se había aislado tan profundamente durante el retiro en la India, que John tomó su guitarra y le compuso una canción: “Dear Prudence” para animarla a salir.
Ese mismo año, 1968, Mía Farrow actuó en El Bebé de Rosemary, de Roman Polanski en el edificio Dakota, donde John fue asesinado años después.
Me resulta aún más impactante saber que ese mismo año los Beatles grabaron el Álbum Blanco, el cual inspiró a Charles Manson para desencadenar la serie de asesinatos en la misma casa de Polanski, y que la misma familia Manson escribiera Piggies y Helter Skelter en las los muros donde mataron a Sharon Tate. Todavía pensar en eso me resulta desconcertante. Pero parece que no fui el único porque cuando dieron la peli de Annabelle, fue básicamente inspirada en todo ese evento.

I love all types/genres/eras of music. Always loved the Beatles growing up w/ them as a child. This particular song, when I was 8, now has personal meaning for me. My ex-husband left me, etc. behind my back for a much younger legal immigrant...they have no need of anything, but I do. It's like trying to unravel a huge ball of string, twine, etc. No can do! All of us have issues...I've had friends of all races, as God made us all. I really care about all folks; always have. (NO MEDALS WANTED/DESERVED.) But finding this song was a gem. It has a more "haunting" quality, and is fantastic. Thanks much to the person who put this here! My PC is old and doesn't work well. I can actually keep replaying this song...can't do that with any others anymore. BTW, my brother went to Bolivia to be a missionary...had to learn to speak Spanish. I myself always loved Spanish in school. Well, enough for now!

This is one of Lennon's best songs and one of the best Beatles; songs, IMO. Revolution, Across the Universe, Instant Karma, Dear Prudence, Youre Gonna Lose That Girl, Sexy Sadie, etc, he has so many really great songs.
