I don’t see anyone mentioning this, but the part that hit me the most emotionally was when he saw his mother and he asked her if he did her proud. And she said he did. All he wanted was approval from his parents and it brought a smile to his face. That part there was the most emotionally gripping for me

It’s crazy how little time we had with rengoku but he left such an impact, definitely one of my top 10 fav characters
