Your facial expressions while watching and listening to this says it all! 😁 This is indeed a breath-taking, mind-blowing performance from the Asia's Phoenix, it has become one of the most favorite and most watched and reacted Wish Bus video. Especially that part from the bridge leading up to the key change and until almost at the end, that "liberating", no holding back belting! I can feel my heart fluttering and adrenaline rushing while watching and listening. The dynamics she uses from the soft and mellow, laid back start, then builds up to that level of intensity, is what makes Mori above and beyond other singers who sang this song.
It was originally sung by another Filipina singer, about two years ago. Then last year, a TV station produced a drama series and made this song part of the soundtrack, and they chose Mori to interpret it. It has since become viral and trending, with already a staggering 22 million views to the lyrics video, and already 12 million views to this Wish Bus video. Her version stayed close to the original, but she added some "Mori touches" to it, like her squeaks on the chorus, the growls, and the high intensity, sang with conviction and power. Because of that, she made it her own. I am not exactly sure what the songwriters and the owner of the rights of the song treat this, but in all the releases I couldn't see the word "cover", even in this Wish Bus video, which in other Mori performances we could see clearly they put "cover" in the video title. I guess that's why you thought this was her original, and so other reactors did, and that's why commenters have to mention that it was originally sung by another singer.
