The APMonitor Modeling Language is optimization software for mixed-integer and differential algebraic equations. It is coupled with large-scale solvers for linear, quadratic, nonlinear, and mixed integer programming (LP, QP, NLP, MILP, MINLP). Modes of operation include data reconciliation, real-time optimization, dynamic simulation, and nonlinear predictive control. It is freely available through MATLAB, Python, or from a web browser interface.

Hello John, Thank you for providing these valuable tutorials and toolboxes. Quick question, I have tried using hs71 example and noticed that the results depend on initial values for variables. Can you explain why the results are so dependent on x0? I am exploring using the APMonitor tools to solve problems I have been using excel-solver for. Thanks for your response in advance.

Dear Sir,
Could you please tell me if I can use the Global Optimization toolbox with an external solver (the Variable-Projection algorithm) or should it be used with the solvers that exist in MATLAB only?
