HD re-recording of an earlier upload. I also decided to include the party mode this time.. generally, the story mode covers all of the party boards but the story mode in this game actually uses smaller versions of the party boards... so every board is played once more in Party mode to show the complete board as well as all the minigames that aren't featured in story mode.

Lastly, the story mode boards are played at random and there's always one missing.. so you don't get to see the "Future Dream" in story mode variant but it's just a smaller version of Future Dream party mode board... I figured it wasn't worth including.

I remember playing this game a lot with my brother and cousin when we were kids. I would always play as Mario (and sometimes Luigi), my brother would always be Boo, and my cousin would always be Yoshi.

I completely hated the story mode when I was younger but looking back on it now, I’ve never knew how easy it was except getting the extra difficulty.

I swear this is my childhood favorite and I still have it to this day!!! Alongside mario sunshine and mario kart double dash as my first three games on the GameCube

As someone who grew up with Mario party starting on the very first one playing through number 9, 5 is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MARIO

Sound design, 10/10 Phenomenal. Side modes, 10/10, I had as much fun with the custom cruiser fighting mode as I did with classic mode!

An absolute gem.

My Headcanon: The Star Spirits are higher gods that are wish granters and guard the Dreams of people at Dream Depot

the Star Sprites are Lesser Gods but they are guardians of the Mushroom Kingdom and protect it from great disasters
