This is a beautiful unleavened flat Bread eaten in East Africa in Countries like Burundi Uganda,Mozambique, Kenya,...

This can be served with Curry stew but you can definitely serve this with your choice of sauce.

This bread is a popular street food in Uganda and it is called Rolex (rolled Eggs) because a specially fried egg is being Rolled together with the Chapati .

Ingredients
3 Cups all purpose flour(plus a little more flour for kneading)
1 Teaspoon of Salt
3 Tablespoons of oil
11/4 Cups of Water
Some physical strength(LOL)

You can use the mixer if you have one. It makes the whole process easier.

ENJOY!

I know it's good!!! My friend's mother sent it to him in the USA. African food is pretty much, if not totally, the best food I've ever eaten!!! Thank you, Ms. Lola!

My aunt went on a mission trip to Uganda and had chapati there. She absolutely loved it, but couldn't recreate it. I found your video while I was looking for a recipe and made it for her and she was so happy; she said it was just like what she had in Uganda and wouldn't stop thanking me. One happy new subscriber here :)

You're a great tutor, unlike many other videos on YouTube you speak and explain very clearly, exactly what a dummy like needs to understand

Was craving African food and only had a few food items left in the house. Perfect for simple snacks. Didn't do the extra steps with oil however chapati turned out wonderfull and it was my first time making these. Will definitely try with the oil as I'm curious to taste the difference.
