This lesson demonstrates why the Sine Law works through both a Geometer's SketchPad simulation and an algebraic development. The lesson also shows using three examples how to use the Sine Law to determine angles and sides in oblique triangles. This is the first part of a two part lesson. This is one of a series of math video lessons created for the MPM2D grade 10 Academic math course in the province of Ontario, Canada.

@KINGof1WORLD Do you mean the m before the angle? If so, that m stands for the words, "the measure of" so m<ABC is read, "the measure of angle ABC".

if sin63/b = sin 81/18.6 then b*sin81 = 18.6*sin63. If you divide both sides by sin81 you get b = 18.6*sin63/sin81
