Показать описание
In the 19th century, there was a ball every night with dancing until sunrise. Dancers would show they weren't tired by doing the most difficult dance that existed at the end of the evening. It was called the "White Mazurka" or "Dawn Mazurka". That tradition lives on only at Stanford during the all-night long Big Dance. Dancing starts at 0:42

Choreography/reconstruction by: Richard Powers based on a description by Charles Durang in his "Fashionable Dancer's Casket", Philadelphia 1856.
