Those 3 pounds and the rehydration made Ryan a beast 😂 he made Devin look small and Devin is used to being a weight bully and fighting smaller opponents.

it was really like 6 knockdowns.... those "slips" were reminiscent of provodnikov vs bradley.

There is a reason why Ryan throws that left hook the way he does. You must take into an account the set up before it is thrown. The reason it is so successful is because it’s not a normal hook that fighters are used to seeing, that small adjustment to the hook makes a huge difference. Ryan sticks out the left hand to measure distance and then rips the hook super wide from a very measured distance and boom!

Ur talking about Ryan needing to stiffen up his Left hook. I would disagree. I argue that the awkward hooks that Ryan throws is why he was able to land on someone that is by the book like Haney.

Another way to gain momentum in that hook is with the rotation of your body and squaring of your shoulder, “twisting” your body and hips towards the target. It’s not only the arm that is generating that power. Great video!

You are misunderstanding the first two 'hooks'. The reason Garcia's torso is a little ahead of the punch is because Garcia is moving toward Haney while he throws the punch. One reason to do that is to get a left hook on Haney from a distance Haney thought was safe while Haney is in the shell. You would never do this with a tradition hook (which is almost exclusively torsional) because Haney's shell would allow him to roll and come over with the right hand as a counter. But Garcia moves from distance to throw a hybrid hook & his footwork is almost like a jab...another part of the reason is defensive. If Garcia doesn't connect with the hybrid hook he intends to step across Haney's body with Garcia's left foot, bend at the waist, and extend his butt into haney's beltline as Garcia retreats. This keeps Garcia away from Haney's counter right. So it's not a faulty punch. It's Garcia finding a way to get his left hook onto Haney from distance but still have a solid defensive option if the punch doesn't land. Don't change anything! If Ryan steps in to throw a traditional torsional left hook while Haney is in his shell, Haney will eventually buzz Garcia with an overhand right.
