Nice video. Host provided wrong info about the suspension however. It is not GM's active electro-magnetic system. This uses passive dampers. Well tuned, but not magna-ride.

Just received ny Lyriq last week and it's HANDS DOWN way nicer than every Tesla model that I've tested. For real, Tesla has been getting over by charging luxury car pricing for cars that are far from luxury. They Lyriq has every luxury feature available and feels like a luxury cadillac vehicle. I just couldn't spend that type of money for a tesla and it feel like it has the same build quality of my kid's honda civic. As far as battery and network, Tesla has the advantage .. but I think people like myself are willing to sacrifice a little on performance to gain the big jump in luxury.

Cadillac knock it out of the park with this car. A great entry into the electric car Market. I would take this over the Tesla any day and twice on Sunday.

This blows the MODEL Y away by every measure.

If the Cadillac guy was a dealer salesman, I'd say he has done his homework. Just hope when I get my AWD Lyriq the dealer has that much understanding of the car (though he did give the wrong info on the suspension).
The 5-link suspension system on both the front and rear axles of the LYRIQ allows for independent tuning for a superior ride feel. Not the GM magnetic ride, but all reviewers have been very pleased how this suspension tunes out bumps.
AWD is $65K with the destination charge included.
Here is some data for you all from a GM China press release:
"According to Cadillac China, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq AWD can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 4.9 seconds, while the Cadillac Lyriq RWD variant, which is motivated by a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 340 horsepower, can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.35 seconds. Top speed for the Cadillac Lyriq RWD variant is rated at 190 km/h (118 mph), while top speed for the Cadillac Lyriq AWD variant is 210 km/h (130 mph).
Moreover, the press release states the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq AWD boasts driving range of more than 600 km based on the CLTC, or Chinese Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle, as well as 653 km for the Lyriq RWD. If we assume the EPA’s 312-mile range for the Lyriq RWD, we can calculate a rough driving range estimate of 287 miles for the Lyriq AWD variant. "

Great review. Keep in mind that pricing could be slightly altered in '24. There will be a Premium Luxury and Sport model coming. The model that you was looking at was the Debut Edition. The Luxury version is the Debut Edition. Keep in mind once the '24 models debut, the equipment could be altered by adding features to Premium Luxury and Sport while deleting some features from Luxury trim. Also read for 2024, the Luxury model could be at $60K while the AWD will be $4K difference.

Also read comments on here about you was bashing Tesla which you did not. What was compared was the luxury, comfort and etc next to the model Y. The Tesla fanbois need to relax because they are not going anywhere as long Tesla is not complacent and keep up what is going on.

Suspension isn’t adjustable only motor noise, response, brake feel and steering feel. All adjustable by drive mode.

15:02 I know the Lyriq has LED interior lighting, but an elegant light on that pillar Old School style would be a nice touch to it's Neo-Retro design. I like its styling better than the newly announced Celestiq (it's rear design ruins what could have been a very sleek, elegant, and imposing presence on the road).

Recently test drove this also and I agree it had a really smooth ride and nice options for the price. Waiting for the extra HP and awd. Just concerned with the safety of their pouch style batteries

Tesla network system showing where the next charging stations is a big advantage over all other EV car makers. Until other EV car makers incorporate something similar into their software Tesla will alway a big advantage over other EV makers (range anxiety).

Good video man! I pre-ordered for sure. Can't tell if it's "better" than the Model Y until I see how GM handles Software updates and the whole dealership experience once you own the vehicle. However, the exterior and interior blow the Model Y out of the water in MY opinion. I like more screens, that rearview camera and i'm going to forever be a fan of having a few physical buttons to touch

I would miss having AP on my state highways (2 lane total). If they open it up, I'll seriously consider it. I loved my Cadillac and if they had an EV version a few years ago, likely would've been none-the-wiser on AP and would've chosen them.

"Normal" is really "Gasoline Car" Regenerative breaking is superior in a BEV.

Unless you want to Prius-like Hypermile your high performance BEV. Then you want to coast as much as possible without regenerative breaking.

One of my pet peeves which is rather mynute is how bad of a finger print magnet the display is.
Was there like absolutely no type of oleophobic used? Granted any touch screen surface is subject to finger prints but I've noticed that some are worse than others.

Every sentence in this video had Tesla in it. That tells you all you need to know.

Obviously, the Escalade is better. At this point and time no one has a better system then GM. Also the Escalade has so much tech and luxury features that it already surpassed Mercedes, Audi and BMW
