It was thought lost for decades... now it has returned! The 3rd Jackson Randy Rhoads prototype is amazing! And... it's for sale! In this video we check out the guitar, play the guitar, and even talk to the man who has owned it for more than 35 years.

Gear used in demo: REVV G20, Harley Benton PA-100 Power Attenuator, BOSS SD-1 Super Overdrive, Allen Eden Digital Delay... and Zakk Wylde's Marshall cab!

I would put that in a glass case inside the RRHOF so every music fan can see the instrument Randy helped designed. God bless Randy! Thanks Max you’re the best Axeman on YT!

Wow. I've seen the RR3 on four different channels in the last month. That thing is touring more than most bands! ;-) I have to say, however, that it hurts to see that the guitar was modified since Grover built it. I get that an owner can do what he wants but it would have been nice if it stayed just the way Randy would have received it.

Just picked up my first Jackson, A RRXT from around 2013.... One of the best overseas Guitar I've owned, neck thru construction, neck is amazing (rosewood fretboard, super dark)
Love it, currently have 23 guitars...most bought from money my mom left me.(My Mom passed away in 2017, she told me years earlier...I won't leave you a lot, but have fun with what money I do :), I did !!! and think of her every time I play them

I love listening to Mr Clegg talk about this guitar. Just so pure and you can tell its passion.

The demo and review are great, as I've come to expect from you. What overshadows all of that is how impressive it is that you have the ability to have access to this guitar...and then make a video with Way to go Max!!!! Please keep the great reviews and videos...as well as surprises like this

AWESOME video Max. 🤘😎🤘
Randy and Eddie Van Halen were the reason I first started playing as a kid in the eighties. RIP Randy and Eddie, gone but never forgotten. 😔

You showed this guitar the reverence it deserved, while still having a lot of fun with it. Wonderful video.

Grover Jackson has been one of my heroes since I was a little dude learning to repair my Kramer ST600 whenever I would mess it up tinkering. If I had the cash, I would bid HARD on this thing. So rad.

I love videos like this! Don't get me wrong, the regular reviews are awesome but I love the occasional change up!

Thank you for preserving and sharing this with the world! Randy is a Legend, cool to see some of his history resurface after all this time and glad to hear it was being properly appreciated by a true fan

What a great thing to be able to experience Max.
I hope this memory stays with you forever and many thanks for taking us along for the ride.
I've always wanted one of the new JS Rhoads to play round with. I would really hope a little of the DNA from this guitar is still present.

My favorite thing about this video so far, I’m about halfway through, is that when you shred, you can tell that you appreciate the opportunity to play this historic guitar and are making the most of it.

I saw it right after it was finished at the Charvel/Jackson San Dimas facility…The Jackson headstock logo was designed by Chris Burgan.

I didn’t know there was a 3rd. Randy Rhoads was the reason I started playing seriously. I didn’t get into him until 1984 two years after he died. I was 14. I became obsessed. I have so much bootleg stuff on on vinyl and cassette with Randy in Ozzy & Quiet Riot. Great video Maxx. As always. ❤️🎸🛞✈️
