Sorry but if James actually allowed those calling in to actually finish a sentence would be a start, enjoy listening to the show but at times when it sounds like he doesn't agree with any callers comments he continually talks over them to disrupt the conversation. Maybe just allow them to finish and then pick apart their opinion rather than just increasing the mic volume to drown out the callers.

Not impressed with James O'Brien, who appears to be focused on attacking the callers command of the English language and his intellect, rather than provide any meaningful journalistic content. A rather pompous attitude and waste of airtime, unless of course your entire aim is to demonstrate how much more educated you are than your audience. A lot of people trying to make the case that Begun wasn't groomed, or brainwashed & was simply evil. Just wondering where all this expertise on the personal life of a young girl in the months leading up to Begum being taken to Syria is coming from?

Children of all colours fairhs and creeds have been groomed and controlled into doing horrific things in countries all over the World.. why is it that people seem to know that this one woman couldn't possibly have been a victim when she was a child?

The guy said 'We don't know what she's done.' What he is saying there is that we should do away with the justice system altogether - we no longer should investigate potential crimes and then put suspects on trial, find them guilty or not guilty and then punish them if found guilty. Instead, he wants to remove the citizenship of anyone who he thinks may have done something bad even if we don't know what the bad thing is. He doesn't realise that if he got his way, it could be used against him or someone he cares about in the future. Why would you cheer on the destruction of justice and due process?

I remember being 15, I made a lot of idiotic choices and wasn't ready to be married to an adult to have three children. I remember my friends and my cousins at that age, idiotic children in the grand schemes of things having breakdowns over pop stars and fights with their parents.

No one can honestly think they're the same person today as they were when their brain wasn't fully developed but for some children we decide not to give them the same chance. The actual relevant term is adultification bias, the idea that some children are magically more adult than others. It's frequently used to excuse society's desire to punish children as adults but it's not backed by science or evidence just a flawed perception of some children as adults.

Ö‘Brien failed to let the caller state his . opinion by questioning his use of English rather than extracting the gist of what he wanted to contribute. It was as if O’Brien had a closed mind on the subject, in which case he should have avoided it. Its a complex issue and there are many facets to it that, when looked at in isolation, can release a number of conflicting emotions. However, the one thing you can say is that its not a binary yes, or no problem . This is his worst interview I’ve seen…

Im a british born muslim and i dint believe she was trafficked. She changes her story every year. When i was that age which was round about the same time she went to JOIN ISIS it would never have crossed my mind to go against the country i live in and cause harm accross the world. My concern at the age was girls and sports and blackberrys.
