It’s not The Hay Wain by John Constable - it doesn’t have the hay cart in it - but it is the same scene and same artist. It’s Willy Lott’s Cottage, Flatford Mill in Suffolk. Bargain!

Its a apple corer. The ginger beer pot/bottle is a flagon. You had candlesticks not candelabras, candelabras have branches and hold several candles. Great finds. Have a good Sunday x

The apple core can be used to take out the core of cooking apples, I usually go twice go make the whole bigger, fill with mincemeat, husbands favourite, or dries fruit and brown sugar. Cut the skin around the middle and bake in the oven 30-40 minutes until apple is soft and fluffy. Serve with cream or custard. Lovely winter dessert. You should have a go at making your own ginger beer to put in your flag on. Homemade is really potent.

The sherbet dishes were a steal. The large spoons have handles shaped like bamboo love those too. Very nice little haul. Maggie is becoming quite the antique buff!. Take care looking forward to your painting collab. Really enjoyed your Norwich trip with Ewan and Kate! Your trio are fab together!!

So glad you enjoyed our Norfolk prices the Ginger Beer is a flagon. My dad collects local bottles and some of them are quite rare and valuable.

The brass looking serving spoons will be handy for photos, they are very attractive. Yes, that's an apple corer. Love the jug and sherbets.

Hi Luke, I loved everything you bought. The glass dessert dishes are fab. I see banana split with caramel topping and nuts. You might know this tip to clean flatware.. Line a flat dish with tin foil, make sure the sides are covered shiny side up. Lay the spoons on top of foil, sprinkle 2 tablespoons baking soda over. Pour boiling water to cover. After 10 mins your silver or brassware will shine. Rinse and buff with a soft cloth. I was thinking for the book rack, maybe winding thin rope or yarn around some of the canework could look good. If you want to age the newer terracotta pot, paint it with natural yoghurt and leave it outside, it'll age quickly, something to do the bacteria in the yoghurt, it actually works!
