Really loved this. I am from India, just now discovered this channel and I am simply learning a lot. Unfortunately I couldn’t join my country’s Air Force as it was my dream. Now I am inclined towards civil aviation though i can’t afford CPL. Hoping for some miraculous opportunity to fly.

I’m 24 and originally from the UK. I gained my U.S. Citizenship last October. Got my cybersecurity (STEM) degree (4.0) last year, and began flight training in February of this year. It’s my dream to fly in the USAF (ANG), and I’m hoping to apply when I turn 25. Thanks for the help!

When Josh talked about poor vision being corrected through surgery.
Air Force website says vision requirements Air Force pilot :
Corrective eye surgery may disqualify applicants for pilot.
Does this apply to any military flight position? Or just Air Force.

Do you need a bachelors degree for all of the different routes?

i wish at least one of the branches beside the Army would allow you to become a pilot without a bachelors degree. i don't really like the idea of having to spend another 4 years in school just to MAYBE get a pilot slot. but what am i gonna do about it

Do you think one needs there ppl for a competitive chance at getting a pilot slot?

I’m 31, 10 AF service combined, I’m a reservist enlisted now. I have my PPL, working on IFR then commercial. Do you know what the age restriction is currently or what have you seen for low G aircraft. Would love to fly the C17, just finishing up my bachelors. Thank you for any insight.

New Subscriber here, great content and I’m glad I found this channel.

I’ve been an aviation lover since the age of 7. I am a CPL Pilot with a multi engine rating and CFI roughly at 350hrs. Currently I’m in the process of enlistment with the ANG here in my home state GA. I chose to be in the maintenance sector. I do not hold a Bachelor’s degree although I do have a good amount of college credits and my goal is to get my degree and eventually apply for a Pilot slot within the unit I’ll be working with(they fly c-130’s).

Based on your experience, do you believe that once I’m fully qualified, by being an enlisted I’ll have a higher chance of getting hired by my unit? Also, I’m currently 31 and by the time I’m qualified I’ll be 33, would an age waiver be something that the unit would be hesitant to deal with?

Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and safe skies!

Do you have an email? I have a few questions about this subject but don’t really want to put my situation in a public YouTube comment section. Love your videos!
