The only "ghost" encounter I was part of was when I was a kid. I was in the car with my dad and we were driving down a rural road in the Scottish Highlands. The weather was terrible, proper rain and sleet and it was dark as hell. We were just chatting, listening to music etc when my dad suddenly stopped and reversed to the side of the road. I asked what was wrong and he said 'Nothings wrong I'm just going to see if that guy needs a lift, '. I didn't see anyone and I was in the front seat but I thought I'd maybe missed him. My old man got out the car with the torch in the glove box and went out to have a look. I could hear him shouting 'Hello - are you alright?' but didn't hear anything back. After about 10 minutes my dad got back in the car and looked at me really confused. He swore there was a man walking along the road, wearing old highland garb (kilt, white shirt, boots, sash and hat), with long black and grey hair and beard, and he was carrying what looked like a long stick. We turned the car around to have a look and there was no-one there. So we carried on. When we got to the village we were going to my dad told the story to his friend and he went white as a sheet. Turns out his other friend, a man from the area who would take part in re-enactments of famous highland battles wearing that same outfit with a spear, was killed on the same road the year before.

Thinking about it still gives me goosebumps.

The one with the kid that looks like they're in the fire, if you watch at the end of the clip, there's a man on the other side of the vehicle (probably the kid's dad) that looks like they're looking down at the kid and talking to them as they walk around the front of the SUV.
