Visited in April 2022, Cragside in Northumberland was the home of the inventor and arms manufacturer, Lord Armstrong and was the first house in the world to be lit by hydro-electricity. Please take a look to find out more about this amazing Victorian property, and the uses to which hydraulics were put.

Allan, your videos have become so rich and full of adventure. The music is tolerable and enhances what you are trying to portray in your photography. That ‘house’ is tastefully made into an actual home. All the tiles were magnificent, Dutch? Beautiful couple narrating, thx Jasmine

Thanks to you and Jasmine, I enjoyed your day at Craigside. An impressive home, now down a few rabbit trails researching the house and its owner and designer.

What an amazing building and surrounding grounds. The oversized Belfast sinks would make a lovely bath on a boat.🤣

What a lovely vlog, the house, the stream was wonderful, the technological advancements, and your choice of music. Splendid job Alan! So sorry to hear it did not work out with Jasmin.

Absolutely lovely place to visit. You can be sure some famous productions have filmed at Cragside. Great vlog Alan and Jasmine. And 6000 steps puts me to shame ;)

Great house tour. The fireplace was extraordinary. The stream wonderful and the mossy bridge..wow. The Screw and powerhouse were really interesting, the house in the view when you came out of it was stunning, what a great spot to live....lucky ducks...:)
Perhaps a walking pole would make Jasmine feel safer on those slippery looking paths and steps.
Very enjoyable, informative and interesting vlog. Thank you. Cheers.

Fantastic video Alan. I miss being able to go to British Heritage sites. America has it's own history of course but nothing like Britain. Thank you for this. ❤

WHAT a great house !
As an Architect, I am always fascinated by all the returns and re-entrants, and the articulation of the house in it's surroundings.
As for his Lordship's Engineering expertise, it was, at the time, AHEAD of it's time.
Thank you and Jasmine so much for taking me around.
I was worried, when I saw all the waterfalls, how on Earth, would you get Lazy Daze, down that flight, with not a Volunteer in site !
Stay safe !
Stu xx

This is so interesting to see and hear
about all the inventions. Absolutely fascinating! Jasmine is certainly a lovely lady and I love her cooking segments. You amazed me when you said being over 60 has it's benefits, I think you said. I never would have thought either one of you were over 60. You both look much younger. Around just over 50 if I had to make a guess. I'm not joking or trying to butter you up. Healthy living is my guess to your youthful appearance. Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures. I love them and hopefully Jasmine will be able to do another cooking show. God bless you both 😊
