Tom teaches how to play the "advanced" variant of Rajas of the Ganges. He was so nice that he also mentions the differences between this version and the basic version. What a fella.

Another good run-through. You make all the complexity approachable.

Red could still have won on that final turn by using his 1 for the elephant+2 fame, so I don't think it made that much difference.

One tactical thing I spotted that would probably have made the difference is that blue kept letting red get that first spot in the tile market - particularly, there were a couple of times in early rounds when blue spent the last action of the round buying a tile for 3 coins, then grabbing dice or something for the first action of the next round, then red got the cheap tile-purchase. Swapping those two actions would have saved blue 2 coins each time, and the game would have ended up coming down to tie-breakers.

I didn't spot any rules errors that you didn't pick up yourself, though I am now reading the rules to make sure.

...

Okay, the bonus tile for markets only counts each tile once, not each individual market (unlike the river bonus for markets), so blue got some extra fame.

There's also some confusion in the rulebook about which tiles count for the bonus for "bends" - there's an example where a player takes a tile "with a bend" but both text and illustration are clearly referring to a T-junction (there's another example where the text says "bend" and the illustration shows a T, but that one could be a simple mismatch of text and illustration).

When it comes to getting bonus yield tiles for being short of workers, you're correct that you get them whenever you have your turn but no workers left, even if it's the last turn of the round (the wording isn't perfect, but seems sufficiently unambiguous).
