INSTALLATION & REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS:
- STEP-1: Avoid static discharge by grounding yourself using a wrist grounding strap or by touching a bare metal surface like a connector on the back of the laptop and remove all the power including the battery and power adapter.
- STEP-2: Slide the battery latches towards the outside of the laptop until they click.

Just wanted to ask if it is worth fixing this laptop if there is a problem with video card. I was told by 3 technicians it is too old to invest in the motherboard/video card. The sudden, unexpected black screen is happening more frequently now so I either need to fix this or get a new laptop.

Sliding the hard drive latch doeant seem to work. Anyone have any ideas?

Nah I can't even remove the cover with two hands using what I saw at 0:30
