As far as I remember, Phthia was a more northern nation of Greece, and the nation Patroclus was born to was more Southern. Both nations are coastal as well. For Patroclus, it is implied that he spent his early childhood at the coast when he recalls time spent with his mother on the shore just outside the castle, a few years before her mind was lost to her. It was one of his fondest memories of her, along with her lyre playing.

This was posted a while ago, I saw it a while ago. But, *thank you*. I have never seen a brown Patroclus! I’m black (and ironically named Theseus) and when I read SOA I always imagined him as such a pretty boy. A pretty boy with soft skin and a nice smile. But I never imagined that that soft skin could be black. I never imagined that the nice smile could have two-toned lips like mine. Thank you, Wolfy :)
