Bonus? wtf? For destroying an airline and being an industrial vandal? Joyce and the board should all be in jail not paid huge money 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Rex wasn't trying to break the Qantas stronghold, it was Virgin Australia that it was gunning for. The directors at Rex thought they saw an opportunity at the start of the covid pandemic to capitalise on Virgin's struggles and indeed picked up aircraft from Virgin. What they didn't anticipate was the financial lifeline provided to Virgin by Bain Capital and that private equity injection rescued Virgin. Rex was stuffed because they didn't do enough due diligence.

This will be a good investment for the three airlines, which will also be valued.

I am surprised Alan Joyce and some senior staff at Qantas werent fined or worse for their industrial relations misdemeanours.

Why is that leprechaun on the same screen as Qantas?

I have to wonder whether people who try to start third airlines operating between Australia's major cities study their history first. The long list of failures should make any would-be entrant realise that they'd just be shovelling money into a hole.

The Irish leppricorn deserves zero bonus. He has shown his alleged lack of ability to run an airline. He allegedly stuff Air Lingus and Qantas.

Joyce did exactly what the Qantas board wanted but is somehow solely responsible? Right.

But arguably Australia was maybe the most closed off country during Covid which was nothing out of Alan Joyce’s control.
