WCNSF: Gaza’s devastating new acronym for wounded children with no surviving family

A new acronym has emerged among medical and aid workers in Gaza. WCNSF stands for “wounded child, no surviving family.” Gaza’s dwindling and overwhelmed hospital system has seen an influx of children arriving wounded and alone, with no family members. The acronym is unique to the conflict and Gaza and reflects the harsh reality of the war.
