SUZUKI JIMNY | The Ultimate Camping Set Up (Part I)

What happens when two world travellers are forced to stay put in one place? They buy a Suzuki Jimny and kit it out for the ultimate safari camping adventure, of course…so that’s exactly what we did!

Did you think about building a custom made trailer? Lightweight, single axle, hot dipped galvanised, and mounting the tent on top of the trailer? With a drawer style fibreglass drawers inside, lockable? Im sure its quite cheap to set up, and lightweight? you could of course go for dedicated off road trailers but they cost a ton and weigh in well over a ton

Great little 4x4 I’m look to get one, do you notice and extra sway with the roof top tent or drag on the highway also do you have the weight of the tent and the roof rack

The roof load limit on a Jimny is 30kgs while moving....

Nice build though you definitely need a suspension and tyre upgrade, it's like driving a while different car I opted for the old man emu full kit

Hi folks, loving the journey so far. Got a couple of questions.
How tall are you both, just wondering re the awning height as I can see you got nicely under standing up? :) it would be cool to see how the quick latch works too taking the awning off and on.
How do you access the tire wrench in case of punctures/ does the back floor fold up? Cool idea!
