Tips for returning those unwanted Christmas gifts

It’s that time of year when customers are returning Christmas gifts. Gaurav Saran, retail expert and ReverseLogix CEO, joins Wealth! host Brad Smith to discuss holiday return practices.

Saran highlights how customers should pay attention to return windows and check receipts around the holidays, as retailers “change their return windows.” He also stresses the importance of reviewing restocking fees and warranties, especially for electronics.

Saran notes that more consumers are engaging in practices like bracketing (buying multiple items knowing some will be returned) just because retailers are making it easier to do so.

"Consumers are so used to an easy return experience now—it’s become a part of our daily lives," Saran says.
