As part of Lisburn & Castlereagh’s NI Centenary Programme 20201 the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum presents a talk from Prof Steve Royle on ’From the clanging of metal to the clinking of coin: industry in Ulster’
Steve Royle is a graduate of the University of Cambridge. He joined the geography staff at Queen's University Belfast in 1976 and is now an emeritus professor. Steve is author of the fantastic Portrait of an Industrial City: ’Clanging Belfast’, 1750-1914 (2011).
LCCC’s Centenary Programme, marking 100 years since the foundation of Northern Ireland, reflects on a range of Centenary-related themes, including history, sports, industry, the arts and identity. The talks are free to attend.
