Paladins OB42 PVE Mode, Buffs and RIP Aggression

Paladins OB 42 is now on the public test server, including a new PVE mode lots of buffs and removal of aggression. Also Code Green Viktor. I go over all of the changes in this video and my thoughts on the upcoming changes.

I kinda wish they would have just buffed aggression. While not great, it was a decent damage option for characters like mainly just her. I mean she's got a low rate of fire so caut isn't that good for her. Wrecker can be ok depending on the team's set up. Deft hands, meh she shouldn't be running out of ammo in your standard encounter and if she is then a quicker speed is rarely going to save her. Basically high investment for single shots make aggression make sense, even if it did need a buff to at least be in line with haven

I think Agression and Deft hands were counterparts offensively and defensively, while deft hands makes you escape tricky situations in which you would die while reloading, agression would make so champions that would escape with one fart of health die instead due to the increased damage

The PVE is Mokoa, Grover, Fernando, and 2 Bariks.
I went into the PVE with randoms and we managed to get it to work. We had Torvald, Pip, Bomb King, Tyra, and Drogoz. Pip + Bomb King ult was very effective, Tyra and Drogoz had large AOE damage to get the tankers off the point, and Torvald clutched the victory on the first point with his ult. They key is to get usually three Bulldozers, one Cauterize, and one Wrecker. The turrets from the Bariks did a lot of damage.

In my latest Evie game I decided to pick up an aggression because I already had movement speed increase and haven yet couldn't afford to upgrade those. I reasoned since Skyes and others would be left alive with a sliver of health the extra 5% damage would potentially finish them off. It was a clutch decision and we won the game with the enemies having 99% objective charge with a score of 3 to 3. I have some major screw ups in the video though but I'm learning to become a better Evie. But yeah I don't really care for aggression in general.

Agression could be replaced with an ability that slows enemies by 5% on tier 1, 10% on tier 2 and 20% on tier 3

Yay Pip buff! I've been using Reload and Medicinal Excellence to crank out a lot of (self)-healing when playing near allies on the front line and playing him as a direct attacker. Which is a lot of fun, if not terribly effective. The damage boost sounds like it'll be very helpful. :)

... my heart sank as you said mal nerf, thank goodness it was only a stun nerf... cause I do not want my heals to be nerfed, those matches with over 100k heals are most certainly fun... especially the odd 150k and over matches, Rare but insane

Hearing you say the better mal'dambas were the ones doing insane healing made me feel a lot better about my mal'damba...Because I can not for the love of god stun lock anyone. I think it was a fair nerf though. It was pretty insane that mal'damba could do that.
Also who else thinks that torvold could be an insane combo with bomb king? Or even skye? Just being able to knock them into ults or even grumpy bomb could be so huge.

I once told somebody to not buy aggression and told them why it was bad and they got it up to level 3 just to spite me

I'm very happy that the viktor and ying skins are in chests, because I have no intention of ever buying either of them. Don't use viktor, don't use ying.
