it's been a year since dream's been sent to prison, happy anniversary :))

this took WAY TOO LONG to make so I hope you enjoy!!

I started this animatic back in mid-july to mid-september then I lost motivation,,, I eventually decided to finally finish it this january :')) so my artstyle kinda got inconsistent throughout the video so sorry abt that :'DD hope you liked watching it anyway

I don't really intend to make this seem like a dnf animatic, whether you ship them or not it's completely up to you, you can watch it as you see fit

if this video hits 50k views i might do another animatic this time about one of the fiances ;))

this really makes me understand how awful this entire situation was for c!george. imagine having to watch someone you were so, so close with slowly craft themselves into an awful person. it mustve been heartbreaking. and the constant thought of “is this real?” clinging in the background doesnt make it better. god, your animatics make me genuinely feel emotions with such little details. also, your george design is so creative. ive never thought of his supreme rectangle as a necklace.

Even if this is a year old and the Dsmp ended a while ago this still makes me think the George had a WAY bigger part in lore without anybody knowing.

When George said “Say you hate me” to Dream, he wasn’t asking because he was mad or angry,

It sounded like a desperate plea….

it’s like two different stories when it comes to their perspective.
c!georges would be :
imagining the person you love the most, the person you’d die for and they’d die for you as well turn to such an awful person, but you still don’t care, you still would do anything, and you’re not sure if they care anymore so you don’t do anything to set them free from their misery. They left, and for what? power? control? you don’t know why would they.

but from c!dreams it would be:
the person you love the most, the person you already went crazy for and did EVERY single thing for, you protected, exiled people for, let go of people for, risked it all for, just to be with them give up on you, just because you did something for them, they thought you were a monster, and a terrible person, it hurts, you misunderstood, they got you good. All you did, was never for power or control, you just need power and control to get the peace you want for this person. but for what? they left already.

This song perfectly describes the entirety of the Dream smp. A tightrope. Bad and Skeppy. Wilbur and Phil. Tommy and Tubbo. George and Dream. Ponk and Sam. Puffy and Foolish. All relationships on the server were like a tightrope. Easy to get wrong, but beautiful when done right.

I've never really thought about how George felt before seeing this. I guess it's because of how little lore streams are in his POV. It's always so easy to just forget that George started this SMP with Dream.

The Craftsmanship of this animatic is breath taking. The literal amount of times I had to hold my breath have made my heart drop in pain. You've chosen such a perfect song to animate to while your artstyle is so nice to look at. Youtube has done you some justice by putting this video in my recommended, and I hope more people see this. The ending was what truly put me in a silent stare. Just something about them see each other after everything that's happened, so many emotions, so many opinions and thoughts, all paused for a moment. I adore this to no end. The cracked, mended, broken, gone, in half mask was really nice, as well as Dream's X scar, bringing XD to mind... the symbology was genius

Eret looking like theyre Not Having A Good Time behind dream with the crown on, the jolt as the falling dream wakes up George... the animation is spot-on.

punz to XD to dream has emotional significance im not gonna unpack right now, and the tears on glasses were amazing. I'm not even gonna talk about the last frame cos Oh God

and the 404 logo as a necklace, the shape of his shirt, ALL the designs... they're consistent within an art style and obviously recognizable as the characters they are (and the way you draw armor is just tasty)

I've always loved c!George's lore despite how scarce of an amount there is, but because of that it's allowed me to do in depth thinking just as I do with all the other characters and understand and fathom the true story in my mind.

This animatic not only made me cry because of how gorgeous it was; from the art to the music choice, but also because it's exactly, EXACTLY how I imagine and understand c!George. It portrays all the emotion I've recognised with his character despite the little depth shown on the surface with some of the streams we've gotten on his lore.

All the loneliness, betrayal, helplessness, attachment, confusion, self-doubt, grief, friendship, love, connection and much more that c!George experiences with the story of the DSMP and watching his best friend slowly lose himself into control, anger and manipulation, forgetting and leaving George behind. And then c!George trying to replace it with his other dear friends but still feeling so disconnected because it isn't Dream, and trying even more to make a replacement with DreamXD. How tragic it was for him. It's so upsetting yet absolutely phenomenal.

Seeing how I've envisioned a character from a story I love, let alone a character I can relate to in a way, overall just having George as one of my favourite content/comfort creators and this concept of his canon character; I can't express how much I admire and absolutely love this masterpiece you've created.

And holy crap, the scene where George tries to mine his way into the prison. How his sheer pain is depicted perfectly. That was the part that really got the feels going, the shivers I got, the lyrics matching so perfectly. How he desperately is hanging onto Dream and wanting to still follow him, be with his best friend again, for things to go back to normal when they were happy. When he breakdowns in front of the wall, knowing he can't do anything. It was so overwhelming, beautiful. And towards the end, watching George wake up from another on of his dreams, beginning to lose himself in the grief; knowing that absolutely everything has changed and he's basically alone. God. The tears I shed, literally sobbing. Bloody amazing.

And the end scene. When he stands in pure shock, tensed, just looking at Dream, his best friend he hadn't seen and been holding onto for so, so long, standing in front of him. You could even tell that Dream himself looked guilty, regretful, seeing George so disconcerted and honestly broken. You displayed that with such- perfection.

I've literally ran out of words on how to describe how awe-striking this experience was.

I would consider this one of my most favourite DSMP fan works/animatics, definitely in my top 5. I'm going to be re-watching this and hyper fixating SO much! Absolutely incredible, you did a fantastic job and I really wish there were more animatics about c!George overall, but especially as great as this!

I watched this and I am left speechless. The art, the expressions, the fluidity, the scenes represented, the song choice. Everything put together is absolutely beautiful. I love this with all my heart and for the first time genuinely cried for an animatic. Your skill is amazing thank you for allowing us to experience this creation ;w; <3

You can see how in the end when Dream and George looked at each other, everything went still before the screen turned black. I really love the stillness - time seemed to stop just for their long-awaited reunion. I dunno how to describe it but the classic saying how “everything around them seems to stop as they look into each other eyes”? Like a moment of realization that yes, the other is standing just right in front of them, and the viewers get to have that moment of realization as well. I REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN but I’m sure there’s many others who felt something similar, if not the same. This is what I always notice whenever I go back to this animatic. Congratulations on it blowing up, YouTube really did do it justice by recommending this to me 8 days ago. I really can’t wait to see how you’ll go from here! Amazing job :)
