2 km toboggan run in Oslo: Korketrekkeren

Oslo's most popular #toboggan run is an adrenaline filled sled ride called Korketrekkeren (the cork screw) that starts at Frognerseteren, near Holmenkollen, and ends at Midtstuen metro station. At the end of a run, you can take a 16-minute metro ride back up to Frognerseteren for another go.

Getting there:
Take the metro line 1 from the city to Frognerseteren. This is a scenic metro ride so have your camera ready.

Sled and equipment rental:
Riding in Korketrekkeren is free, but sled rental costs 100–150 NOK per day. You can also bring your own sled.
Akeforeningen, located down the hill from the Frognerseteren metro stop, has sleds for rent as well as sledding classes.
Skiservice has sleds and equipment for rent from its office across the street from Frognerseteren Café.

I sledged there may days when was in Oslo. The most dangerous place is a turn right after the upper train platform.
