The gravity problem makes long term space travel and residency on planets with much lower gravity almost impossible right now.
The body deteriorates in low gravity. Even just going to the moon did a number on the astronauts’ bodies. Sending someone to Mars and bringing them back is not possible. They’ll die in the three years of zero G during transit and low gravity on Mars. And even if they didn’t die, the return to 1G on Earth would crumble their bones to dust.

That whole Nitrogen and Oxygen problem makes the terraformation of Mars nearly impossible, since we can't bring that much Nitrogen and Oxygen from anywhere or in any large enough spaceship and (more importantly) we would need the air on Mars to have the same consistency as Earth's air, but that can't be done by human hands or machines.
Physicists say it would take MILLIONS of years for the air on Mars to become equal to Earth's in its concentration of Nitrogen and Oxygen to be breathable. It would be a natural mixture that we can't mix by ourselves.
And do we really know how to predict entropy at a planetary level? No, we don't.

Since humans have already colonized Antarctica, we can colonize Mars which in reality is somewhat friendlier territory.

I think that human beings should get comfortable with the notion that we are not going anywhere. If there are other creatures traveling through the galaxy they aren’t concerned about us as their non-interaction indicates that whatever resources we have are not necessarily useful for traveling through space or any other activity that they perform. Additionally it is also biblical that we never leave the earth. So im hedging my nets with either faith or science on this one.

The actual problem is gravity, Mars has less mass than earth. In martian gravity both the bone density andmuscle mass will suffer
