She’s a split finger shooter (index and middle) 👍🏻 when she releases the ball you can see her index and middle fingers are the last fingers to touch the ball. She aims those fingers into the rim as if she had the ability to stretch those fingers all the way to the rim and deposit the ball. No off hand interference, just text book shooting. When she dips the ball right before she goes through her shooting motion, her fingers are on the side of the ball(like Steph Curry). When you make the web of your shooting index finger and thumb into the shape of a U, hold the back of the basketball and aim that U at the basket, your shooting elbow is aligned with the basket, then you just rotate your fingers(primarily your index and middle fingers)forward and at the rim and into the sphere of the net. SWISH! The most beautiful sound of the NCAA!

Hailey Van Lith is a baller. I don’t know why a lot of people in the comments are saying she’s not close to her peers. People forget their history, before Van Lith transferred to LSU she was at Louisville and was putting up buckets. But when she transferred to LSU, even though she was a starter she went to a loaded LSU team with a lot of great talent. She wasn’t the focal point. I think she was more of a facilitator and role player and played well. I’m definitely speaking of the LSU National Championship team and even the follow up team after LSU team was great, but their bench was weaker. Still Van Lith held her own. Everyone wants to go to last season when Caitlin Clark cooked Van Lith but who hasn’t Clark cooked before. One bad game doesn’t define you as a great player
