Wal Khabais

Meaning-O Allah (Almighty) I seek
your refuge from impure Jinnat (male and
female)

Leaving the bathroom/toilet. Frst use right feet to come out and recite

Alahamdulil Lahil Lazi Azhaba Annil Aza Wa
Afani

Meaning-Thanks to Allah Almighty
Who removed pain from me and granted me
relief.

what is the source from Quran and hadith that says zikr is recommended inside the bathroom or while sitting on the toilet?

While purifying the toilet seat of a western toilet with a bottle of water some water drips outside the toilet seat. Is that water najis?

Asalaamu Alaikum, most of the scholars I have learned from have forbidden dhikr while being at the toilet. It is known that this is an impure place where the shayateen are present, and we have even seen examples from the Prophet and his Companions where they forbade it.

Interesting to hear your beliefs on using a bathroom, which seems pretty complex for a non-muslim. Question though, on my travels throughout the Islamic world, I noticed that many bathrooms (albeit mostly communal) were amongst the worst and most basic I've ever had the misfortune to enter (and then run out & head back to my hotel ASAP). I'm talking a dirty, open hole in the ground with little privacy & no paper or stones !!! The polar opposite to your guide. Care to elaborate my friend ? Peace be upon you.
