The all-new second-generation Toyota C-HR premium compact SUV has arrived in Australian dealerships, combining sleek European styling with efficient hybrid performance in the small SUV market.

The new second-generation Toyota C-HR is available in Australia with three trim levels, starting with the well-equipped GXL, priced from $42,990 plus on-road costs.

Sporting Toyota’s fresh ‘Hammer Head’ exterior design, the GXL stands out with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beam, a rear spoiler, and a distinctive front grille with a grained pattern, complemented by black bumpers and pillar trim.

Inside, the C-HR offers a stylish and comfortable cabin, crafted with recycled materials and free from animal-derived products. The GXL features sporty, manually adjustable seats with fabric upholstery, automatic dual-zone climate control, a synthetic leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustments, an electronic parking brake, and both USB-C and 12V charging ports. It also includes an electrochromatic rearview mirror.

The C-HR’s tech suite includes a high-resolution 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloud-based navigation, DAB+ digital radio, and voice recognition. The GXL trim comes with a six-speaker audio system and a 7.0-inch multi-information display (MID) within the instrument cluster.

Safety is a priority across all C-HR variants, which come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, including a pre-collision safety system, active cruise control, lane trace assist, parking support brake, road sign assist (for speed signs only), safe exit assist, and more. Additionally, the C-HR features a panoramic view monitor and 10 SRS airbags.

The GXL is powered by an upgraded fifth-generation 1.8-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined 103kW and boasting an impressive fuel efficiency of just 4.0 litres per 100km, making it more powerful and economical than its predecessor.

Above the GXL, the new C-HR Koba variant starts at $49,990 plus on-road costs.
