Claire Thompson is the Head of Customer Analytics at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), accountable for leading a team of 50 analysts to deliver actionable insight and customer decision support for Commercial and Private Banking.

RBS have been on journey for the last few years to transform how the business uses data. As much as this is a shift in technically capabilities, it is also about driving a huge cultural change in people’s attitudes and the use of data within the business.
What sets RBS apart from many organisations is the way it has centralised all Data & Analytics activity into a single bank wide function, with approximately 900 people responsible for delivering analytics support for the Personal, Private, Business and Commercial Banks.

RBS talks about this transformation using the Correct, Connect, Create framework. This talk will bring this framework to life by illustrating real examples of how new analytical capability and approaches are driving the business forward, creating value for customers and the business. All of which is helping support the bank to achieve its ambition to be #1 for customer service, trust and advocacy.
