It appears quite common that new users are unaware that Magento can switch to 4 different modes, which optimise it’s performance based on the task they need to carry out. So, during this video I’ll give you a quick rundown of what each of these Modes are used for and how to switch between them.

I’ll show you how to cycle between Default, Developer and Production Modes in Magento 2. If you want to know how to use Maintenance Mode, checkout the Video Description or wait until the end of the video where is will display as the recommended video to watch next.

Are there any shortcuts that will do those rm -rf commands you ran at the end? Perhaps "bin/magento cache:clean layout"?

sorry for the stupid question. should i change from production mode to developer mode everytime i add products or make changes to my website ? when working in developer mode, is the website still on LIVE and receive orders ?

Hello, what version of Php do you recommend for run Magento 2.3.1?? I have 7.2.16 but none of the marketplaces extensions are compatible, do I have rollback to Php 7.1 or 7.0?? I need to install Sendgrid Ext or other SMTP email transport but I can not install it, ahh another think brother, the Readiness Check always said to me: Cron job has not been configured yet, but the cron is aready install with: bin/magento cron:install :(

Does the production mode have any restriction to install new extension, Is supposed to enable the developer mode first in order to install any new extension?
